This is not the fault of the rental platform, it's entirely the foreign staff's issue. Despite booking in advance, they didn’t answer calls, and after three hours, I still didn’t receive the car. Dragging three suitcases around was exhausting. When I went to their airport store, I saw him playing on his phone with the window closed. Additionally, my package already included basic insurance, but he added glass and tire insurance without my consent and charged me 2,000 RMB. When I asked what it was for, he got upset. I told him I didn’t purchase that insurance. In summary, never rent a car from foreign staff. It’s much better to rent from local Chinese providers.
I rented a car from this company twice, once at the downtown branch and once at the airport branch. The vehicles at the downtown branch were in better condition, while those at the airport branch were just average. The second day after picking up the car, the AdBlue warning light turned on, and I had to buy a bottle of AdBlue at a gas station to resolve the issue myself. The insurance Green Card I had booked in advance was also not provided during pickup. Without the Green Card, I had to purchase separate insurance to enter Macedonia, which cost 50 euros for three days. I wouldn’t recommend picking up a car at the airport branch.
This is our second time renting a car from Carwiz. We are already familiar with the process. The small branch is located next to the sports arena, and it was easy to find with navigation. Take note of the operating hours in Serbia; it's best to pick up or return the car between 9 AM and 2 PM. Otherwise, they may consider it outside working hours and charge additional fees! Make sure to use your own credit card when picking up the car.
Overall, it was pretty good, but the car had some scratches when handed over. Remember to take a video for evidence to avoid disputes when returning the car.

We always rent cars for self-driving trips when traveling abroad and have generally had great experiences. However, this time on May 3 at Belgrade Airport with CARWIZ, it was disappointing. Here's what happened: the primary driver forgot to bring their credit card, and the company would not let us pick up the car. We proposed two solutions: 1. Use cash for the deposit or have a traveling companion's credit card pay the deposit; 2. Replace the primary driver on the booking with a traveling companion or rebook under their name. Both were rejected. The only condition given by the company staff was to pay an additional €650 for full insurance; otherwise, we would not be allowed to pick up the car and the already paid rental fee would not be refunded. Ultimately, after some bargaining, they allowed us to pick up the car after we paid €620. Additionally, I want to inform everyone that the car's exterior condition was quite poor, with over a dozen noticeable scratches and dents. Since I opted for full insurance, I didn't bother negotiating further. Overall, this car rental experience was very unpleasant. Please take this into consideration.
The pickup location is in a container near the airport and cannot be found using Google Maps. It was only with the GPS address provided in QEEQ's email that it could be located. The staff left a phone number but had gone out; we had to ask the nearby Sixt staff to call and get them to come back. I originally booked an Octavia, but they said there were no cars available and upgraded me to an A4. This made me drive very cautiously throughout the trip, avoiding parking on the roadside out of fear of scratches.
The car was quite new, with only 12,000 kilometers driven when picked up, and very fuel-efficient. After driving 1,800 kilometers, I only refueled twice while maintaining a full tank for return. However, when faced with poor vehicle conditions, it was almost impossible to get assistance. In the past, I usually chose well-known international rental companies like Europe or Hertz for international trips. This time, I opted for this company mainly for convenience with cross-border travel, but the service was really disappointing—perhaps that’s just how service is in Serbia. During business hours, repeatedly calling the contact number provided for pickup resulted in no one answering or the calls being hung up, which was extremely frustrating. Luckily, after comparing rental platforms, I firmly opted for Zuzuche, which provided quick and effective assistance throughout the process.
Overall quite satisfied, the process of renting and returning the car was smooth. However, the original plan included trips to Montenegro and Albania, but these were canceled due to the lack of a Montenegro invitation letter. We tried negotiating for a partial refund of the cross-border fees and Albania-specific car insurance, but it was not successful.
