Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Original driving licence + International Driving Permit (IDP)

Please note that an International Driving Permit(IDP) is only a translation and you must present your original driving licence at the counter.

EU Driving Licence

For local renters, you need to bring:

Full Driving License issued in Portugal

-No travelling to islands; -For taking the vehicle outside of Portugal, please request Waygo's authorisation 24 hours in advance by calling the customer service number (+351 212 841 171 or +351 960 142 193) . Otherwise you will be charged €150 for leaving abroad, and you will be responsible for all damage caused to the vehicle and third parties during the trip abroad.

Taking rental cars to the countries that are not listed in Paid is not allowed.

Travelling abroad without prior authorisation from Waygo , the fee will be charged according to the price list (500€) and customers are responsible for all damage caused to the vehicle and third parties during the trip abroad.
