Pick-up Instructions

The KLASS WAGEN - Budapest – Airport car hire location is located out of the airport

Due to constructions works done in the airport, please read carefully the following instructions: As you exit the Arrivals in Terminal 2A please walk towards the Pedestrian crossing (between zone 3 and 4) until you reach the sign indicating the direction towards the Parking area. Follow the stairs or the ramp until you get to a Parking payment machine. Opposite of this there is a green “T1” sign. Walk towards it and wait for the Klass Wagen shuttle bus. Please contact us once you exit the luggage pickup area.

Drop-off Instructions

Rented car must be returned at Klass Wagen parking lot at 1185 Budapest .nFree Shuttle Bus will transfer the customers to the Airport Departures Terminal.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

I have been picked up at the airport and quickly taken to the site. The office staff was helpful and kind. They gave me a better car than i booked. Overall good compared to other companys. The only downsize is the interior cleanliness as it was definitely not cleaned after the previous driver. My deposit was released in 1 day.

The description of how to find our vehicle when landing in Budapest was completely wrong. QEEQ stated that someone would be waiting for me after I went through customs. This was not true. Then it said to go to the vodaphone counter at the airport. There is no more vodaphone counter at airport BUD. I confirmed this with the man at the information desk. He luckily informed me that I would need to call Klaas wagen once I was ready for the shuttle to take me to get the car. After I did this it was no problem. A friendly driver with a large van came to meet me in about fifteen minutes and it went smoothly from there. But the main thing is that QEEQ has to change its explanation to say that the customer needs to give a call to the Klaas wagen agent upon arrival because there is no Klaas wagen counter.

The rental fee is cheap, but the deposit is very expensive at 2900 euros. They also charge for highway fees and a fine deposit. If you mention traveling abroad, they charge an additional 20-40 euros per day. I do not recommend mentioning that you will drive out of Hungary.

The car rental company tries to sell insurance, and if you don't buy it, they can become very sarcastic if an accident happens. The car was not very clean when I picked it up, and for the first time, the fuel tank was at 7/8! However, the queue was short and the service was efficient. They offer airport transfers and 24-hour service. Overall, I'm quite satisfied so far.

The service was decent, but the fees were not as displayed on the platform. Renting the car for three days required buying insurance for 105 euros, otherwise, there was a 3000 euros deposit. They provided a Skoda Kamiq, which was fine to drive.

When picking up the car, it was brand new with just over 6000 kilometers on it. Since it was the first time picking up a car in Budapest, I didn't pay excessive attention to minor details. After driving for 28 days and returning the car, all kinds of minor issues started to come up. Every tiny wear and scratch were penalized with charges, even though they were not caused intentionally or by collisions during driving. It felt like we were driving a treasure instead of a car—any subtle damage was unacceptable. All of this ended up costing us 970 euros! What an impressive car rental company!
