BELGRADE AIRPORT CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

I booked a 7-seater but got a 5-seater. I'm not sure if it's considered the same category. The trunk was barely enough. My colleague has a 7-seater that costs over 100,000 RMB, and when its last row is folded down, it provides ample space for our luggage. So, I feel this wasn't the same category and might have been downgraded. Additionally, because a friend was arriving the next day, we booked the car for the following day. When we inquired if we could register and pick up the car if the friend (primary driver) was late or couldn't make it due to weather or other unforeseeable circumstances, we were told the car would be arranged in the New District. We had to take a taxi to the airport and then another to the New District to pick up the car, which was a hassle.

The pickup and drop-off processes were quite casual, which made me feel uneasy.

The price didn't match what was advertised on the website. The site mentioned a charge of 4.8 euros per day for crossing the border. We only needed the car for two days in Montenegro but were told to pay a maximum charge of 48 euros for ten days (even though we were renting the car for only eight days). The reason given was that they couldn't know how many days we would be abroad, despite entry and exit records clearly showing this. It felt like an overcharge.

It was okay. When asked, confirmed not to get insurance, but it was on the paper.

The wait time was a bit long.

Great service, easy to find the car and return it

The rental company staff did not follow the proper procedures and deducted over 1000 RMB from us without sufficient evidence. The communication and coordination by the rental platform were clearly inadequate, and we did not receive any of the requested photos from the rental company. The final result was unsatisfactory and frustrating. Lesson learned: Make sure the rental company follows procedures and take plenty of photos as evidence before renting.

Do not use this company. At pickup, they claimed I didn't have insurance (even though I had bought insurance through the rental platform) and forced me to buy additional insurance for around 10 euros per day. I strongly refused, she still insisted and then claimed my credit card limit was insufficient (they wanted to reserve 3000 euros, and my card had over 4000 euros available at that time). I had to buy the insurance to reduce the required credit limit. Finally, I thought I'll only visit Belgrade once, so I bought the insurance... In the end, they charged me over 1500 RMB for some unspecified additional fees during the 6-day rental. Avoid this company at all costs!!

The car was inspected upon return with no issues, but later charges were made for damages, which is unacceptable.

They clearly explain the precautions when picking up the car, including the return location and type of fuel. There's no push to sell insurance. However, when returning the car, you have to go inside to find someone to assist, unlike other companies that have dedicated personnel waiting in the parking lot. The lady inspecting the car was not very knowledgeable and almost mistook a load-bearing mark for a dent. But after communication, there was no problem. The deposit was refunded on the spot.

The staff's service attitude was excellent, very humorous and quick to assist. However, their fluent English had a strong accent, which made it somewhat hard to understand. When they asked if I wanted extra insurance, I almost agreed, but luckily I realized and declined. They didn't push it any further, and the entire transaction process was pleasant.

The tire had a bulge and they refused to replace it, saying it wasn't a problem. What if I get a blowout on the highway? Safety is no small matter. I suggest avoiding this rental company.

As a local car rental company, their service is pretty good. The rental process was fast, and the staff did not force you to buy their insurance.
