Same company as MEX. The service attitude was pretty good. Since it was Christmas holiday, there were quite a few people renting cars, but the line wasn't too long.
This company is just a small workshop, engaging in price fraud and reneging on agreements. They demand a very high deposit and force you to buy insurance that costs more than the rental itself. QEEQ can't do anything about them, and neither can the consumer protection agency. Consumers can only accept their bad luck. Be careful, everyone.
The car rental service was decent, but I have major issues with QEEQ. I had a bad experience on my first time using QEEQ to book a car. I had paid all the fees to QEEQ, but at pickup, the system couldn't find the one-way fee. After a lengthy discussion, QEEQ asked me to pay upfront, saying they would refund me after I return the car. It's been over a week now, and there's been no progress! Why should I have to pay this money? Shouldn't QEEQ cover it? It's not just me, my friend also booked a car, and when they went to pick it up, there were no cars available. We had to rent from another company, and QEEQ didn't refund the fees.
There was no booth at the airport and no one waiting at the entrance. I called but no one answered. Finally, I found their office only to discover it was closed early. Extremely frustrating.
The service attitude was good, but the process took around 20 minutes, and the wait for the car was longer. According to the QEEQ contract, the car should have had a full tank of gas, but it was empty, and the fuel light was on.
After using the car, there were a few scratches on the rear bottom, and I was charged $170 for damages, which is double the rental fee. I feel scammed by the company; they use these tactics to make money. Unbelievable!
From the airport booth check-in to picking up the car at the main office took a total of 2 hours and 37 minutes. The shuttle speed was acceptable, but we were mainly delayed at the counter for the paperwork and car pickup process. During this time, many employees went home after work, and despite so many customers waiting in line, there was no action from the management (we couldn't even see any managers). The car rental system had issues: the rental contract was printed in a graphic mode that made the lines unclear and the text small and hard to read. The counter staff did not inform me whether the return location was the same as the pickup location, so I had to rely on Google Street View afterward. Later, when exchanging cars, I saw a sign at the entrance indicating to drive another hundred meters west. It's been a week since I returned the car, and I still haven't received the deposit refund. The second time I rented a car, I specifically asked the reception staff about this issue; she said the refund would be processed upon check-out, but in reality?
The service attitude is quite good, not pushy with insurance, but they took a 25000 pesos pre-authorization... I still recommend big rental companies, because there's also Adobus locally, and locals might give incorrect directions to the pickup point.
There were a lot of people, and the process was very slow. We landed at 3 PM and waited 40 minutes for the shuttle to take us from T4 to T2. During this time, other companies' shuttles came 4 or 5 times. When we arrived at the rental point, there were 7 or 8 people in line in front of us. It took me a whole hour to get through the process, and then I had to wait another half hour outside to get the car. Because of this, we didn't reach our destination until 8 PM, missing the evening activities.
Scam company, they force you to buy insurance or make you wait endlessly. The only time I used my credit card, it was fraudulently charged a week after I returned home. They constantly ask for tips when you pick up the car.
There are clear signs at the Cancun airport exit, and staff will quickly arrange a shuttle to take customers to the pickup point. The staff at the pickup point will greet you and offer free drinking water. The only drawback is the long wait times for registration.
The staff gave me the old address, and I couldn't find the right address using GPS when returning the car. The driver took me to the wrong terminal (my flight was 4O 904, and I told him it was T2, but he thought it should be T4), so I had to take a taxi to T2.
