The car rental company's customer service aggressively pushed insurance. Renting a small car for 6 days required purchasing insurance worth over $137, which is more than double the rental fee. It took nearly three hours to finally get the car.
Terrible experience! They wouldn't let me take the car without insurance. I wasted three hours at the pickup location, the staff even changed shifts, and I still couldn't get the car. After contacting them, I had to sign an additional agreement and pay several times the security deposit to finally take the car. Then, after refueling, the car broke down again. I spent another three hours waiting for them to replace it. They didn't speak the same language, but luckily the car broke down at a gas station; otherwise, no one would have helped me. In the end, I couldn't even calculate the extra fuel costs. This was absolutely awful!
Overall, we are satisfied, but the insurance sales pitch took a long time. We repeatedly emphasized that we had already purchased additional insurance, and only then did we get the car.
