Appalling customer service from Easirent.

After a long haul flight arriving at night, I was kept waiting in an empty waiting room for almost 1 hour. When I eventually got served and was handed the EasiRent paperwork, the man informed me that EasiRent had to hold a "blocking fee" of GBP1,500 on my credit car in case of an accident. I told him I had paid additional fee for nil excess and I even showed him the paperwork but he still insisted on this fee. I was basically told that if I did not agree to the fee, then I would not be allowed a vehicle. I had no option but to agree, as I needed the car to drive a further 2 hours. When I looked over the car the next day in the light, it was extremely dirty not having been vacuumed inside, dirty windows and poor quality windscreen wipers. Overall, not a good experience with EasiRent and I am sorry to say, that I would not recommend them or use them again.

This is the second time that I have used EasyRentCars and I am happy with the service. For clarity and to avoid confusion, EasyRentCars is separate to the hire firm EasiRent. I would recommend EasyRentCars and I would use them again.

Tried to discuss issues but they just were not interested! Only after I lodged negative feedback did they want to discuss - sorry - too late! Never will use again!!!!

Gabriel and other black gentleman both excellent ambassadors for the front desk. Spent more than I wanted checking in, but this was mainly down to inaccuarate information on booking.

Staff were very friendly but I do have 2 specific comments. They explained that this branch could only accept American Express cards via contacting another branch which I was ok with until I had to stand and listen to the guy read out all of my card details including the security code over the phone and in clear earshot of the next waiting customers. This is definitely unacceptable. We did mention it to the team before we left and they requested that we re-raise this through the feedback form. This branch either needs the same functionality as the others, a more private/secure means of transferring the card info or just to not accept Amex until suitable functionality is available. The other issue is that the shuttle appears to be a single van and we overheard they only have a single car park pass, so while the transfer is approx 10 minutes, if you just miss one, you have to wait for the return trip. We were lucky and didn’t have to wait very long but having now seen your location on the edge of Sowton, I would have to consider my times of travelling before re-booking as at peak travelling times, it would clearly take considerably longer to get to and from the airport. The team though were very friendly and explained everything clearly, just some feedback with logistics really.
