Our experience with europcar was terrible. We arrived at the counter in Sydney, and since we showed our license and it was in Spanish they would not give us the car. They needed a translated version of the license and if we did not have one they would not give us the car. We then asked for a refund, but they would not give it to us. We had to translate the license which costed 100 dollars and we had to wait for 3 hours in order to receive the translation. This is ridiculous, we have been all over the world and this has never happened to us. We also went to other cities in Australia and NO ONE asked us for the translated license. We are never renting with this company again, and the staff member has very rude as well. Our experience was terrible, and we lost half a day in the agency

“Very convenient location right in our hotel”

Counter was right within our hotel - the Pullman - can't get more convenient than that! Counter service was slightly slow but still reasonable.

Car rental return signage at Brisbane international airport is hindered by high grass and we thought europcar has a different return location and skip the drive in. We google search and it directs us to domestic airport to return. It is important for stranger driver to see a clear company signage for easy and smooth car return.

“Bad Experience”

I had a very bad experience with Europcar. The staff made some mistakes on contract so we have been waited for 1 hr to get our cars. After rental, we returned the car to Europcar, the staff there has checked and kept the key. They emailed us again and mentioned we did not return. Also, we were extra charged by Europcar $250+ Aud. And I have to make oversea call to get back my refund. Overall, it really makes us very disappointed with the car rental service.
