Friendly and attentive

The car model I reserved was unavailable, so I had to pay extra to switch to a Sonata. Since my English isn't very good, I couldn't negotiate much with the staff. The additional cost wasn't significant, so I just accepted it. The car was new and in excellent condition. I wasn't very familiar with the routes, and after returning the car, I received a credit card bill. I'm not sure if it's for a traffic violation or toll fees, but it was quite expensive, nearly $200, which is almost as much as the rental fee.

Excellent! As long as you pay the full amount in China, you just need to print the contract from a self-service machine abroad to pick up the car. Returning the car is also very convenient; just inspect the car with the staff. Overall, it was very good!

Staff trying to upsell to much putting on extensive pressure to spend more on a smaller more expensive vehicle and basically been negative in the vehicle I had booked. When i declined numerous times attitude changed negatively. Also when signing documents just told to sign in various places but with no explanation on what I was signing for. Don't get the access insurance instead save by doing it yourself at www.carhireaccess.com who were $44 cheaper than Alamo. The Chevrolet mini bus I booked did 13.5mpg to the gallon so its thirsty. Good job petrol is cheaper in the usa than the uk. It's about £0.56p a litre compared to £1.32 in the uk.

Was easy to book and straightforward no issues and ok prices

Alamo counter Agent Antonio was difficult to deal with and insisted that I had to show him a "British Drivers Licence" for the contract to be valid. Even after I showed him a printed version of the contract specifying that a valid USA or Canadian Driver's Licence was acceptable, he was still difficult, combative and argumentative. informing me, that since I used a British Car Rental Agency, I had to present a British Drivers Licence. How sad !!! Antonio attempted to tell me that my Contract with Easy Car rentals for Alamo was not valid !!!. Finally, I was able to convince Antonio, that my Contract was valid and that his interpretation was in-correct. This was a frustrating experience for me, which was uncalled for. There were other issues with Antonio as well because of his rude attitude.
