The service was very attentive. I only waited about five minutes when signing the paperwork. The staff noticed I was Chinese, so they adjusted their Australian accent and speaking speed. They spoke very standard English, which made me very satisfied. The processing was smooth. When I went to the nearby parking lot to pick up the car, the staff there were Indian. Their service attitude was decent, around 70 out of 100, but they managed to maintain basic etiquette and service procedures. Just don't expect too much for a smoother service. Also, I have to complain about the parking lot for returning the car. When picking up the car it was on the 7th floor, and for the return, you had to drive to the 10th floor. The tricky part is the entrance on the 2nd floor; it's extremely narrow. I rented a Camry, and the width at the entrance was just barely 10 cm wider than the car itself, plus the entrance is at a turn in the middle level. I had nearly 10 years of driving experience in Beijing, so I consider myself quite experienced, but it still took me around 5 minutes to get through that entrance. The situation was worsened by two parked cars near the entrance that day. Just to emphasize, be very careful at this point! I saw a Chinese couple who got scratched at that entrance; they were discussing the issue with the Indian staff. So, really, be cautious!

The car pickup was very smooth. The elderly lady at the reception was very cute. The rental company's price-performance ratio is very high, and the car was in great condition, much better than other well-known brands. Returning the car was also very smooth; the staff took a quick look and it was done. Since the return location is a bit far from Melbourne Airport, there was a shuttle bus to take us there. Highly recommended.

The biggest advantage of East Coast is the low price, but the condition of the car is average. The car always veers to the right, maybe due to alignment issues or insufficient tire pressure (I have 5 years of driving experience). The store and the pickup point are on opposite sides of the street, in a parking lot on the 10th floor of another building. The door to the parking lot is hard to find, it's best to ask a local for directions, it took me at least 30 minutes. When returning the car, there was a mistake due to the staff (incorrect initial mileage record), so we had to go back to the store to correct it! The pickup point was staffed by some Indian guys, no office, and the car I got was dirty, the exterior was very dirty (uncommon in countries with good air quality). Small companies save money, so their service can't be expected to be good.
