“Overall good service, thinking of using the company again when we head to Maroochydore in December.”
About East Coast Car Rentals:8.0/10
The car was great.
The lady who served us when we picked up the rental didn’t really explain why we were paying more money. I thought l’d paid everything l needed to. Apparently the extra money was to remove the excess. I wasn’t really given a choice of not doing this.
On returning the car the staff member was very helpful and friendly.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
They were prompt in let me know what the extra money was for.
Give good discounts.
The car had a few electrical issues.
It would show hazard lights when going over a bump. Sometimes it would start but not want to go anywhere.
When driving in the middle of a lane it would try to pull the car over closer to the line.
East Coast have been informed of this.
The Haval is has uncomfortable driver seating. The headrest angles in too far and gives the driver a sore neck. Not sure we would rent one again.

Not realising you are overseas, I was charged an extra fee. If I had known that I would have used a different credit card.
I am not sure it worked out any cheaper than hiring direct through supplier here in Australia.
“God experience just be aware it's an expensive venture.”
About East Coast Car Rentals:10.0/10
The only thing l would have anything to say is its an expensive thing to hire.
You have lots of adds about being good value and incentives but it still works out being an expensive thing.
“Could have been better. Sore about the Insurance part.”
About East Coast Car Rentals:10.0/10
Not too happy the Insurance coverage. Had to pay additional AUD$130 as the one bought from QEEQ was not comprehensive, according to East Coast. This was not highlighted in the QEES website during booking.

The details of insurance coverage
as i had to pay more at desk.
The staff had a poor attitude and kept pushing insurance even though I told them I already purchased one. They tried to scare me by saying it wasn't the same and that if there were repairs, they could directly charge over $6000 from my card (though the actual authorization was only $1000, so I don't understand why they claimed over $6000). The vehicle they provided was bad; it lacked power and struggled on uphill roads. When I returned the car to the address listed on the order, the staff lazily told me to drive to another parking lot instead. Driving in the city center was challenging, and I was in a rush. When I finally got there, the entry required a password, but the password they gave was incorrect. I had to drive back to the original address listed on the order. It was an exhausting experience! I've self-driven in many countries before, but I've never encountered such an unreliable rental company. Avoid this company at all costs; it was a hard lesson learned!
East Coast reached expectations with car, customer service on pick up and return.
The negative
Deposit of $1000 can be held for up to 2 months. Other hire companies hold for usually 3 to 5 days after vehicle return.

Easy to use. Very happy with Qeeq doing the research for me
“Planning to give 1000 dollars because they could take money from my bank account in case of damage.”
About East Coast Car Rentals:7.0/10
They forced me to pay 1000 dollars as a bond. And I ve told them it is a change in terms and conditions and they told me pay insurance 150 more or 1000 dollars bond or we can't give you car after I came there.
Overall, I’m quite satisfied. The staff member was very patient. My English is poor, so I couldn’t communicate well. I used a translator, and he patiently typed in each word for me to translate. It seems he also had an accent, so it was understandable that I couldn't catch everything, haha. Even the translator couldn’t fully understand him, and we had to manually input words. The part that was unclear to me was about insurance options. After communicating for about 10 minutes, I roughly understood there were several insurance types: full coverage, partial coverage, and something more basic. In the end, I chose one for $35 with a $5,500 deductible. I suggest they create an advertisement leaflet to show customers directly—it would make things much simpler.
