I initially thought renting a car in Italy would be complicated. But Hertz made it very simple. When asked if I needed additional insurance, I declined and they didn’t push it further. Driving in Italian cities can be challenging as people drive fast and don’t follow rules. However, I enjoyed driving on Italian highways; everyone drives fast but follows the rules, similar to Northern Europe.

The staff at Hertz in Rome Airport were helpful, guiding and arranging a vehicle swap. Even though the originally reserved higher-class vehicle was not available, they provided us with a Peugeot 3008.

Pick-up at the airport was very convenient, but the queue was slightly long. There were additional tax fees during drop-off which were not mentioned earlier.

Your system didn't inform Hertz about the last minute price reduction, so it took almost an hour to get the right price.

Second time I used Hertz and found the service below average and the amount of time for picking up car way too long.
