I booked a car at 3 AM in Kuala Lumpur, but had to wait for a long time with no one around. The contact number provided didn't respond. I asked airport staff to help, and they said a friend would bring the car to the KLIA2 rental counter, but no one showed up for ages. The final picture showed that we were still checking the vehicle at 04:40 AM, while my family and I were already at the airport, waiting for two hours without any proactive assistance from them. I am still pursuing my rights! If anyone has the same experience, feel free to contact me, and we can take legal action together.
Completely dissatisfied!! It was mentioned that there would be Chinese customer service, but I could never get through on the phone. We had a language barrier. When we returned the car after it got damaged, we were charged an additional 600 MYR on our credit card without any notification, even though the damage assessment was done on-site and we agreed to it. Two hours after we left, they charged us again claiming the initial amount wasn't enough for repairs. They should have informed us. We had already checked repair costs locally, and the initial assessed amount was sufficient. It's been a month, and this issue is still unresolved. While it was our fault the car got damaged, they should communicate any additional charges. It's irresponsible! I advise everyone against renting from this company. The process is super slow, the office is hard to find, and there's a significant language barrier. Their English isn’t even proper English.
Very dissatisfied! When returning the car, I found a scratch about 1.5 cm on the rear bumper. After consulting with the company, the Europecar employee informed me that I needed to pay 431.80 MYR for compensation. Since I was in a hurry to catch my flight, I didn't argue much or take pictures (regret it). I paid and left. After returning to China, I contacted the company through the post-rental service department of the rental platform. The company responded that the compensation was legitimate and sent an email stating that the cost of repainting the entire bumper was very high. The problem is, would the car rental company really repaint the entire bumper for such a small scratch?! I personally feel that this rental company is making a malicious claim and might even be bullying Chinese customers!
Pretty good. Since I travel for work, I've rented three or four times. EUROPCAR is quite convenient. Even on late flights, they can arrange someone to assist if you call in advance. It's quite hassle-free, and any damages are compensated at reasonable rates. I'll continue to rent from them in the future.
