If you don't have a return ticket, they say the order is invalid and won't refund your money or give you a car. They ask you to contact customer service for a refund, which has strict conditions involving other rental companies, and they charge you for the entire week if you're just a little late picking up the car. The whole third party booking was a bit confusing. Instructions for pickup were not real clear. Routes definitely pushes add ons, insurance, i-pass, etc.
