The Hertz staff told us it was just a credit card pre-authorization, but in reality, they charged us the full insurance fee without our understanding of French. Moreover, no matter how we tried to explain later, they refused to refund it.

To avoid renting a 5 2 small 7-seater MPV, I specifically chose one of the only two large MPVs on the ZuZuCar website offered by Hertz (Citroen Spacetourer manual or similar). But at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 1 when signing the rental contract, I was given a Volkswagen Sharan (UH60 BB VW SHARAN GPS BVA), a typical 5 2 7-seater, which can't fit five 20-inch suitcases when seating five adults and a child. After repeatedly requesting a larger model, they said there were none available, and the only option was to pay more for a 9-seater. Looking at Hertz's model card on-site, the I group doesn't even have the Sharan. Is this compact 5 2 MPV really what ZuZuCar considers a large MPV?

Picking up the car was very convenient

Had to wait two and a half hours to pick up the car at Charles de Gaulle Airport T1. Arrived at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM pickup, but was told to queue again, which delayed us until 10:30 AM without any cars available. Finished paperwork but had to wait even longer for the keys. It was incredibly frustrating.
