They picked us up at the airport, eliminating the hassle of finding the store ourselves. The store is very close to the airport, and the staff processed everything quickly and efficiently.
Even though we contacted customer service on WeChat before our flight from Auckland, we still had to wait quite a while for pick-up upon arrival in Christchurch. We waited over half an hour before we had to call again for the staff to come. On the plus side, we got to use a rice cooker, condiments, and rice left by previous customers for free, which saved us some money. We also left quite a few items behind when we left. We paid a 2500 NZD deposit, which is supposed to be refunded about a month after returning the car. Overall, the car rental experience was decent, but the car was old (over 100,000 kilometers) and noisy. I'll update the review after the deposit is refunded.
The car was in good condition. The girl who gave us the car was very helpful and even accompanied us to a nearby supermarket to buy some things.
