We originally booked the car for 7pm. Since our flight transfer went smoothly, we arrived three hours early. The gentleman at the car rental was very friendly, and the process was simple and quick.
There were various sales pitches and price increases. We booked a Cadillac but they insisted on giving us an Infiniti. Initially, it was $200, but I insisted on not taking it and they reduced it to $150. In the end, we were in a hurry and just accepted it. The car rental company was convenient and the procedures were simple.
Alamo should be a cost-effective car rental company. This time it seemed like there were more people in line at Alamo compared to other companies. It was supposed to be a Ford Explorer or similar vehicle, but we got a Ford Edge instead. Although it seemed a bit smaller, it was still fine. It was a new car and more than enough for two adults and a child. Picking up and returning the car was very convenient, right across from the Calgary airport terminal.
