The service was mediocre. The highway toll card rental costs 30 MYR, and you have to load it with your own money. If you overcharge, you don't get a refund. The card initially had only 1.5 MYR, which caused me to miss the toll card refill station and get stuck at the toll booth. I had to find a place to refill the card, which was very inconvenient. I specifically chose the rental location at Terminal 2, but they directed me to pick up the car at Terminal 1. When returning the car to Terminal 2, they charged an additional 30 MYR. When I arrived at the designated return spot, I called the contact, but I had to wait half an hour, almost missing my flight. The entire experience was terrible.
Excellent service. When returning the car, the staff member noticed we had a lot of luggage and personally drove us across the border. He even gave us directions during the trip. Really nice!
Great! Located right in the T2 terminal bus station, very easy to find. Arrived an hour early and smoothly picked up the car. The attendant was waiting in the parking garage when returning the car.
I arrived at the counter at 4 PM but no one was there. When I called, only the first call asking for the address was answered, the next seven or eight weren't picked up. I waited for more than 20 minutes. The staff at the next counter even helped call them. They finally arrived late. When checking the car, they said even the tiniest scratches or dents would cost hundreds of ringgits in fines. When I rented in Langkawi, it was never this serious. I was so scared that I recorded a video and made them note every tiny scratch. When picking up the car, I asked about getting a Touch & Go card for the highway. After explaining, they offered to sell me a colleague's card for 58 ringgits, including 43 ringgits of toll credit! Did they think I was stupid? They were making a 5-ringgit profit off me. I refused their offer, and they said there was no markup, it was the same price. I want to alert my friends from China not to be scammed. A card only costs 10 ringgits. Buy it from the far-left lane when entering the highway for 10 ringgits, and then top up with cash on the far-left lane when exiting. A round trip from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka is just over 30 ringgits, not 30 ringgits one way. Don't top up too much. If you run out of money, use the leftmost manual lane. Malaysian highways are very cheap, costing less than 20 cents per kilometer. When returning the car, we arrived at the designated parking lot at 7:50 PM. The three contact numbers all claimed 24-hour service. We called each number several times and finally got through after ten attempts. We waited another ten minutes for the staff to arrive. What if we had a flight to catch? This wasted so much time. Extremely dissatisfied. Will never rent from this company again.
“Overall nice experience, waiting for my refund please process asap.”
About ASIA CAR:7.3/10
I had to wait for more than half an hour to drop the car, nobody was picking up the call to come to collect the car, then I ran upto the counter to get someone to take the car and then we came back to inspect the car with the luggage and then again rush back to airport departure as i had wasted more than 30 mins for this process at the peak time when I had to catch the flight, at the time of drop try to understand the customer cannot invest time in these activities as he has to catch the flight.
