This is clearly intentional on the part of the staff, so no matter how careful you are, you will fall into their prearranged traps.

During pickup, they checked my international driving license for a long time and asked me to add insurance.

The car was dirty, the paperwork took an hour and a half, and I was charged over 2400 dirhams for a 7-hour delay.

At Terminal 2, the far right side is where all the car rental companies are located. The processing efficiency is decent. They will try to sell you insurance, but I explained that I had already purchased it domestically. Despite this, they insisted that domestic insurance wouldn't be valid. I eventually called QEEQ customer service, confirmed there was no issue, and decided not to purchase additional insurance.
