Overall, it was quite good, but the wait to pick up the car was a bit long. Initially, they said it might take half an hour and asked if I would consider a different model. After I declined, I still got the model I wanted pretty quickly. Overall, I was satisfied.
The service attitude was mediocre. Upon arrival, they claimed the reserved car model was unavailable and said I had to wait an hour. They suggested upgrading to get a car, but even after the upgrade, there was still no car. I ended up finding this vehicle in the parking lot, only then they couldn't refuse and let me drive off. I noticed other Chinese tourists were still waiting there.
There were too few Fox shuttle buses, and it seemed like there was only one. Especially at night, we waited for about an hour and a half after arriving in Los Angeles before a shuttle finally came to pick us up. The experience was very poor, and the service awareness was incredibly lacking. If we hadn’t called customer service using a domestic VoIP service, we really wouldn’t have known how long we had to wait. We waited from 10:30 PM until 12:30 AM.
The local company Fox in Los Angeles is quite problematic. Europecar partners with Fox locally and they will try to charge you additional fees at pickup, telling you there are no cars available unless you pay more. There were many people at the door complaining about why they couldn't pick up their reserved cars. The staff explained that making a reservation only guarantees you can come to the store, not that you will get a car. Also, I returned the car with a full tank, but I was still charged over 20 USD.
They couldn't find my booking when I arrived so the process took longer than expected. It wasn't easy finding the pick up point at LAX
