AVIS, as one of the leading global rental companies, engaged in deceptive practices during the car return process. They altered the return time and charged nearly 90 euros for a full tank of fuel despite the car being returned with a full tank. Thankfully, I kept the fuel receipt and dashboard photo from before the return, which allowed me to get the money refunded.
Average. The rental company didn't inform me in advance through any channel that I needed to bring two credit cards. They insisted, 'no card, no car,' which made me very angry. No matter how I explained or offered to pay a cash deposit, it didn't help. I had no choice but to return to the hotel to get another credit card. But what if I hadn't brought another one when I left the country? Would I have paid but not gotten the car? Unbelievable.
We rented a car in Seville and a hotel staff member crashed into our car. The rental company immediately charged our credit card. We had purchased the super insurance from the rental company, but it's been three months, and they refuse to compensate us for various reasons. I always use Avis when renting a car abroad. It's pretty good, but sometimes their process is quite slow.
