After I mentioned I had bought full insurance through the rental platform, they didn't say much and handed over the car as usual.
I was lucky to get a brand-new car at pickup. Although I had already purchased full insurance through the app, the rental company didn't recognize it and insisted on a local insurance option for 35 Euros per day. I decided not to buy it, but they still froze a deposit of 900 Euros. The return process was smooth—staff inspected the car inside and out, found no issues, and I was good to go.
