Absolute cowboys, out to rip you off for as much money as possible.
I frequently hire cars from different companies and have only ever had one issue in all that time, when a company tried to charge me for minor damage that I was able to prove had never occurred.
However, Green Motion refused to allow me to use my signature for my credit card. This is despite me walking for half an hour to the nearest cashpoint to try and re-set my PIN, which was locked. This is also despite me being a repeat customer who had hired a car from a sister office just three months ago and given them an excellent review.
Instead, they gave me a hard-sell and charged me just under £100 before I knew what was happening and well aware that I was stranded in the middle of nowhere on an industrial park. This was on top of charging me and extra £50 for petrol and mileage.
I will never use them again.
Slow and inconvenient- shuttle took ages to arrive and there was only one person at the check in desk. Process for check in was unnecessarily slow and new costs were added even though we had bought full cover online, ended up missing flight back because shuttle was so slow dropping us back to airport.

This was chaotic. Huge deposit required. All customers shocked and angry. Will never book again through either company. Shuttle bus infrequent and filthy. Terrible

They gave me a car with a lot of damage to one side even though they have plenty of other cars. We missed one bus because it took a while finding out which bus stop at the airport they do the pick ups from. This SHOULD be in the email
The return inspection is extremely strict. They use a flashlight to meticulously search for tiny scratches and small damages (some of which were not recorded and normal people wouldn't even notice). They found one small chip on the windshield and demanded to replace the entire glass, demanding an immediate payment of £900. It's blatant fraud! (I complained to their customer service and requested a re-inspection, they said they took it to a repair shop to polish it). If you had bought their insurance, they wouldn't be so strict with the inspection. The next client who doesn't buy their insurance will be in trouble. It's a despicable practice!
Due to the fault of my bank I ended up not even getting the car, but I can state that Green Motion apparently advertises one thing and does another. In my case for example, at time of reserving the vehicle there was a up-to amount for deposit although at car pick-up, Green Motion wanted to charge me a 3 thousand Euro deposit, which is ridiculous and I would never agree to such amount. I will also state that in my short time spent in the Green Motion office I overheard other clients making similar comments. Next time I went with a serious company right in the airport where my deposit was 200 bucks.
Terrible. They wanted 1075GbP as deposit for insurance which we refused but still paid 69.32GBP for insurance and had a hold of 400 GBP for excess despite our insisting it was insured with you

The staff was helpful in using the dreaded Dartford Tunnel, and eased problems thereof with full assistance. First assistant was a bit overbearing when trying to "upsell" insurance.On that subject, there is still a $1500 + charge in my credit card statement 2 1/2 days after returning the car with no problems.Most rental companies do not charge as much, and the charge is cancelled faster.

I already buy of full insurance. in easy rent car com.i given all the license for service Conter after inputs some information in computer and tell i not enough for two year experience driving the green motion the poor service man must want me to extra full insurance can use the car .4 day 230£ ,is not reasonable no buy no use of car and cancelled of my booking i use 2-hour the Handling of this application very angry Of that. Coming the future I must not use of poor service Green motion company
