Like: Car was great, 2018 low mileage with built in GPS. Returning the vehicle super fast and easy including personal shuttle back to the Montreal Airport.
Dislike: Waiting for the shuttle bus when we arrived at the airport. Waited almost an hour, as the first one was full and then waiting in line to rent our car.

Like: The experience with Discount Cars in Montreal was a good one. Very helpful young man. When we got in the car, a light was on, and he took it back to the garage to check it out before we left. I would have worried if it would have come on after we left the lot.
Dislike: I wish I would have picked a little larger car, I'm a big person, and it was a bit small for getting in and out of. Other than that, it worked fine for the week we were in Montreal.

Like: Low cost including insurance rental for 40 days (by far the cheapest I could find and was upgraded from an economy compact to a premium midsize SUV for the duration of the rental. Also my wife was added as a second driver at no extra cost. The car was brand new with less than 5000 km on the clock.
Dislike: The only negative that i can think of is that the cars interior could have been cleaned a little bit more thoroughly because there was some dog hair on the carpet from a previouse customer who had a dog.

The wait time was very long, and the staff was not knowledgeable. It took them a long time to confirm things, and they added an unexpected $80 airport tax, which was unacceptable.

Dislike: Delay at pick up and drop off

Like: Great car, fast service
Dislike: The shuttle driver at the return was going to leave even for his route even though he saw us. I had to convince him that I was ready to go (inspection done and all). Too bad that one person with lack of customer service was the last thing I remembered from this car rental.

Are you serious? Fix your own issues first!

We arrived at the store at the scheduled time, but there were no cars available. There was a lot of arguing, and eventually, a car was returned outside, and everyone scrambled for it. I've rented cars abroad many times, but this is the worst company I've encountered.

Dislike: Confirmation from Easyrentcars never came to my e-mail, had to seek it out online to know that reservation was confirmed.

The store is not inside the airport, and you need to take their free shuttle. The line at the store was very long, and the process was extremely slow. Including waiting and processing time, it took at least 3 hours. The most ridiculous part was that after successfully booking online and making a full payment, there was no car available when we arrived at the store. I had reserved a Dodge Grand Caravan, but since there were no cars available on-site, they tried to give us a pickup truck instead. This was unacceptable as we were a party of seven, including children and elderly family members. We had to reject it, and they said there was nothing they could do. I urgently contacted the overseas customer service of the rental platform, but even after their negotiations with the rental company, nothing was resolved. In the end, we had to book a vehicle from a different rental company next door, which fortunately had availability, preventing us from being stranded overnight. However, this whole situation wasted more than half a day of our trip. I strongly condemn the Canadian rental company, Discount Car & Truck Rentals, for making our first day in Canada a complete chaos. While the customer service hotline of the rental platform tried their best to help, they were limited by their platform's capacities and couldn't do much against the rental company. I strongly suggest that the rental platform terminate its cooperation with Discount Car & Truck Rentals. To all fellow travelers renting cars in Canada, beware of this company!

Not satisfied

Dislike: Due to our requirment I had booked a Van but when i wanted to pick up the car they said we don't have Van at the moment and we provide you a truck. Although Ford truck was enough good car but it was't match with what we asked for.

There were too few staff, and the queue time was excessively long. The order stated that there would be Chinese service, but there was only someone who spoke Cantonese with a cold attitude. I want to file a complaint against this rental company. I had reserved a Jeep Grand Cherokee, but all similar models available at the store were broken. In the end, they gave me a Jeep Compass without refunding the price difference.

The pickup took 2.5 hours, which is simply outrageous.

The wait times for picking up and returning the car are too long. They don't open the door even when you arrive on time in the early morning. The staff is extremely inefficient. Plan extra time if you have a flight to catch.

The pickup location is about a kilometer from the airport. The phone was unreachable, and the process was slow.
