“Excellent, fast and friendly service through out. Will definitely use them!!”
About Alamo:9.7/10
Car exceeded my expectations! Very clean and very low mileage. Less the 6 months old.
I didn't like being charged extra for winter tyres. I had mentioned I was driving Luxembourg time I was paying for the car. Its beyond their control, just miscommunication.
I will give them 9.75 out of 10
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Very competitive pricing and good range of options.
Well tailored cars for my options.
Staff at the store weren't very helpful and seemed indifferent. They didn't inform me that they were giving me a different car from the same category, just assigned it directly. While I could accept the car, it felt disrespectful. The car was covered in Enterprise logos, advertising that it was a rental. The back seats weren't very clean, but the Lynk & Co 01 was really nice to drive. Overall, I had a better experience with Sixt; newer cars, better staff attitude, and no ads on the car.
This is the second similar car I have hired and the spec on the car is low. It is a full size car but has minimal extras that would be typical for a car of that class. There was no speed sensitive cruise control as an example. I hired a volve S60 earlier and it had extras that would be typical for the car type but the Mercedes didn’t.
In Europe, it's important to get used to their pace. Be patient, everyone is polite and courteous. Note that driving speeds in Europe are generally high, and being courteous alone won't ensure safety. Roadworks can make driving more difficult due to narrow lanes. It's really not advisable for inexperienced drivers to attempt self-driving; safety should always come first.
Charged extra for fuel with no explanation; no provided rates or quantities, they just insisted on charging. I contacted them and after-sales support tried to help, but it was useless. The branch just wanted to charge us and ignored our concerns.
There was a dispute over the car group. Although it was noted that I would be traveling to those countries, I was told I had to add snow tires, but there were no cars with snow tires available. They wanted to charge me 50 euros a day to change the model, clearly a scam.
