Very good! The car was new and it was very convenient to find the store at the airport. The service was also good.

AVIS is excellent. Both my husband and I drove, and there were no extra charges. However, the previous rental company, ALAMO, charged CAD 10 per day for adding a second driver. At AVIS, the car model we booked was not available, but they found us a much newer 8-seater 6.0L GMC within an hour. It was much better than what we originally reserved, and they didn't charge extra. Very trustworthy!

Initially, we were given a car that had been in an accident with faulty brakes and an engine that sounded like thunder. After negotiating with the rental company, they replaced it with another car. However, for my other booking, where I also rented a large car, I was informed there were no cars available and was given a smaller car instead. We couldn't fit our luggage, but luckily we had booked three cars and were able to adjust. Otherwise, we wouldn't have known how to continue the journey. Also, adding an additional driver costs extra, which is not the case with other rental companies.

There are many people in line at the airport, but it's not Avis' fault.

I recently rented a car from Hertz in Los Angeles and Seattle. They had plenty of new cars, with the one I got only having 3000+ kilometers. But when I rented from Avis in Vancouver, they had fewer cars and suggested we pay for an upgrade. The car I got had over 16000 kilometers already. The main issue was that I booked a Chrysler 200, a mid-sized car, but at pickup, the staff suggested an upgrade which I declined. They then claimed they did not have my booked model and tried to give me a small Fiat instead, saying it was a similar model. I refused and they pushed for a paid upgrade. After insisting, they finally provided a Chrysler 300. In conclusion, I am very dissatisfied with the service from their staff.

Everything was fine except for some language barriers. The service was excellent.

The staff were patient and meticulous, especially when returning the car, which was very efficient and convenient.

We booked an extra-large SUV, but when we arrived, they claimed it was unavailable and tried to give us another SUV. After waiting for 3 hours, they finally gave us the reserved extra-large SUV, which was actually parked right there. It was clearly not the case that the car hadn't arrived. Very angry, will not use this company again.
