Car exceeded my expectations. Just had a slight wait as they were turning around the car for me. Otherwise was a very smooth process in car collection and return.
The service at the store for car pickup was decent. As for the car return, we’ll have to see. It takes a while to receive fines (e.g., speeding tickets, if any). Based on posts on Xiaohongshu, the fines can take a long time to be forwarded, which might lead to overdue penalties. Alternatively, the fine may be issued under the company’s name and then needs to be transferred to individuals, requiring an appeal process that’s very troublesome. Hopefully, the rental company could notify us via email in advance if they receive any fines.
The car looks great, but the cost is too high. First, it’s expected to consume a lot of fuel. Second, even with the most expensive insurance purchased at the store, there’s still an excess limit of 2500 AUD. When returning the car, I noticed a small scratch on the front side. The staff handling the return mentioned that the damage team would assess the cost and let me know. Waiting now for the specifics to see if it will be reasonable or not.
It's very close to Four Points by Sheraton Perth, easy to find, just a 6-minute walk. They provided a Kia at pickup, but I noticed a Mazda parked nearby. The Kia's performance is extremely poor; no matter how hard I pressed the accelerator, it just wouldn't speed up. The air conditioning and smart function buttons are fine, and you can connect Bluetooth for screen navigation. However, the car's power is just too weak.
