Better information should also be provided regarding the Axa insurance. For example, contacts and what to do in case of an accident.
The pickup process was very slow, I waited in line for two hours, and it took them 35 minutes to serve each person. Despite confirming that I did not need any insurance services at the time of pickup, as all insurance and services were covered in the rental contract, I was inexplicably charged $183.94 when returning the car. This fee almost matched my entire rental cost, which left me speechless.

The wait for pick-up was far too long, especially after a long flight. At first there was only one person at the desk for a long line of people.
The key to the car was manual (i.e., without a clicker to lock it), which was somewhat inconvenient.
At the drop-off at SFO, my wife fell, and the Budget attendants where extremely caring and helpful, and insisted that they drive us to the terminal.

Lors de la prise de voiture, le premier employé de Budget a tenté de me proposer plusieurs options supplémentaires que j'ai refusées en lui demandant de s'en tenir au contrat souscrit. La voiture fournie était une petite Kia qui ne correspondait pas à mon attente. Il m'a fallu retourner au comptoir ; la deuxième employée que j'ai vue a d'ailleurs paru surprise, et m'a immédiatement fourni le modèle Elantra comme précisé sur le contrat.
Était-ce une employée qui faisait du zèle ou une directive de Budget ?
Long wait during pickup, in spite of the fact that I was covered by recommended full insurance including road side assistance during online reservation, I was insisted to take additional road side assistance during the pick up causing an additional expense of US$44 per week.

San Francisco pick up was very lengthy. We waited over an hour to be served due to high demand, low number of staff and low number of vehicles available. When we were eventually served we were told our booking was not for that location despite my reservation stating it was. I specifically chose that location being within walking distance of our hotel. We were told the car was the other side of San Francisco so ended up getting a taxi there. When we eventually arrived we were dealt with very quickly though. There is obviously a problem with the on line booking system in addition to organisation at the local branch in San Francisco.

My total rental cost was $771. At San Francisco Airport, the service staff gave me a bill for $1160, claiming it was for a vehicle upgrade. When I asked if it was the upgrade fee, they said it was a deposit. There were a lot of people in line, so I didn't check carefully. Later, I found out that there is no deposit for car rentals in the US.
I waited a lot to pick up a car — hope you can solve this issue as soon as possible. The counter staffs were trying to aggressively recommend a more expensive car and sell car insurances although I already chose a car type and purchased basic insurances through easycar rental.
