The counter staff on collecting the car were thorough but slightly short on informing us to check the car for damage before we leave & what petrol was in the tank, but I went back and he was pretty good with the paperwork & sorted it quickly,
On returning the car the young man was BRILLIANT, helpful & thorough and moved us through as quickly as possible, shame I didn't get his name but definitely a great man.
I had to wait for 1 hour even though I had a reservation. Finally, they completely forgot about me, and there was one more person waiting. When it was my turn, I presented my credit card, driver's license (with the rental company’s translation certification). After checking the order, they said OK, but after verifying the license, they said it was not acceptable because it was not issued by the International Alliance. So, after waiting for so long, it was still a NO. Why didn't they inform me earlier? Why did the rental company provide an invalid certification? Isn't this just playing with people?
I specifically wanted a Ford Mustang convertible and booked it two months in advance. They gave me a Beetle convertible instead, claiming it was the same class. I complained to the rental company customer service, but it wasn't resolved.
“San Francisco - Monterey - Yosemite - San Jose - San Francisco”
About Budget:8.0/10
The vehicle was in excellent condition, almost brand new. Initially, we added a GPS, but later found that our Huawei phone could navigate using the internet. When we requested to remove the GPS, the staff initially said no, but eventually upgraded our car instead. This type of sales approach is acceptable.
“Enjoyed having a Mustang convertible for driving down the 'Big Sur' in California.”
About Budget:8.7/10
The roof would not go down on the first car we were given so had to change to a different car which resulted in delays leaving the airport. This second car had not been cleaned since the previous hire and the back seats were dirty.
Drop of was a nightmare.
I was not able to find the point. Therefore I missed the evening. However the agent said that she were there in the office.
We confused about where to part, an we not even checked the office as we though it is close. It was not, but we did not reach the office because we did not find the drop off parking lot.
