The black lady at the counter was very enthusiastic. The car rental desk at Durban Airport was very flexible, and there was basically no queue. With complete documents, the car pickup procedure was completed in five minutes, and we hit the road happily.

The car was great, just finding out where to pick it up from was frustrating. You should have told me to collect from Budget. Had a long queue once I found out.
Like: Budget staff were excellent, even when picking up the car around 5 in the morning, and were friendly and efficient.
I had to extend the rental for an extra 2 days and was done in minutes at a branch in another province. Dislike: 1. I was billed prior to receiving an invoice.
2. Billed for 2.5 litres of petrol even when filling up at the Airport.
The car was brand new but overheated and left us stranded. In South Africa thats a serious position to be in. Customer service at budget took more than an hour to get back to us with a plan. They came and picked up the car and we never heard from them again!
After i left the airport i saw the petrol tank was just below the FULL mark.
I only did 74km but when I filled petrol, it took 12.022 litres with a total of R161.34
I brought this up with the person at the drop off point and also showed him my receipt.
He promised to adjust and request a refund.
Having taken the extended insurance i was not really expecting to need it but whilst driving fom PE to East London we were most unfortunate to have the driver side window shattered by a ston. The customer service staff were extremely helpful and a replacement car was waiting at EL Airport by the time I arrived.
