The car was in excellent condition with only about 3000kms on the clock. The GPS was a must have.
We only had a couple of issues with the GPS trying to get us to go up one way streets the wrong way. It also put us into ZTL zones. The issue I have with this is that when looking at a GPS on my phone it warned us not to go into these areas.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Easy to book and great service. We were told in the booking that all tolls were covered but this was not the case in Italy and caused a lot of confusion at toll gates.
When I arrived, they told me my car model was unavailable. They offered me either a huge 7-seater MVP or an upgrade to a Ford SUV. They said it would only cost 10 euros more per day. Later, I found out that renting it for 7 days was 1,000 RMB more expensive, probably because they didn't tell me about the additional high taxes.
Since it was a Sunday, operating hours were from 10:00 to 14:00. I originally booked for 14:00, but arrived early at around 12:30. There was someone else renting a car in front of me. They specifically reminded me to return the car before 12:30, otherwise, it would count as another full day.
Parking violation fees are too high. 30 euros for service fee transfer of responsibility and 10 euros for the speeding fine itself. Had to handle it myself. Won't choose this company again.
“All up a great experience for first time renter!”
About Hertz:9.7/10
Cant think of anything to do better, service, car, guide to pick up place etc. was all very easy. The only thing I had trouble understanding was the insurance, as I had already booked a part insurance with easyrent, did not know if I doubled up when I took out full cover insurance with Hertz.
The drop-off point at Frankfurt train station lacks any location details or signage, making it very inconvenient. The rental office is misleading, charging an extra 10 euros to park the car at a designated spot. They describe this spot as very complicated and troublesome, tricking you into paying the unjustified 10 euros. Additionally, there is no on-the-spot car inspection. Germans aren't as reliable as expected.
Didn't get the same type of car as booked, had to pay extra for a different model. Also, the car only had basic insurance; they didn't accept the full insurance bought from the rental website.
