You can walk to the counter of Locauto - Roma Fiumicino Aeroporto car hire.

The office is located in the shared rent-a-car area inside the Open Tower. From Arrivals, follow the signs for Car Rental - Open. If arriving by train, from Fiumicino Airport station, follow the signs for Car Rental - Open. To reach the parking area The Locauto parking area is located very close to the office, on the 4th floor of Parking A. When leaving the rental office, take the lift on the right and go up to the 4th floor. In the Locauto parking area, you will find an external office where staff can provide all the assistance you need for both pick-up and return.

Drop-off Instructions

You can return your rental vehicle by going to the Rome Fiumicino airport area. Specifically, follow the signs for “Car Rental Return - Parking A-B-C-D”, enter Parking A, take a ticket from the ticket machines, and drive up the tower to the 4th floor. There, you will need to use the ticket to enter the Locauto parking area.

    If you do online booking, they ask for security deposit 500 euros in rome airport while they say that they charge in security deposit if you do on counter booking and off hour car pickup is not easy while this issue should be addressed.

    No upselling, smooth process, zero deposit required. The car was clean and easy to drive. We originally rented two T-Cross vehicles for 7 days but were upgraded to Skoda SUVs, which can fit 3 to 4 large suitcases. Full marks! Highly recommend this rental company!

    Overall, it was pretty good. The staff was very friendly and suggested insurance, but it's totally fine if you don't want to buy it—they won't pressure you. The car pickup process was smooth, but I didn't get the T-Cross I booked; instead, it was an Opel. However, the car was quite new, with around 10,000 km on it, and it supported CarPlay.
