Pick-up Instructions

Car Pickup Instructions – Sydney International Airport (Terminal 1) 1. Clear Immigration and Collect Luggage:After completing immigration formalities and retrieving your baggage, proceed to the arrivals hall. 2. Locate the Avis Booth: The Avis booth is conveniently located in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1. Staff will assist you with your rental process. 3. Avis Preferred Customers: If you are an Avis Preferred member please head to the Avis counter to collect keys.

Age requirements

21 - 99 years old

Young Driver Fee applies at 21 - 25 years old with charge of AUD 25 - 27.5 per day approximately.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Original driving licence + International Driving Permit (IDP)

Please note that an International Driving Permit(IDP) is only a translation and you must present your original driving licence at the counter.

Original driving licence + NAATI Translation

The translation of the driver's license certified by the Australian Translation and Accreditation Institute (NAATI) can be used to rent a car and drive in Australia.

For local renters, you need to bring:
