AIRLINE PASSENGERS: The MIA Mover has replaced the Rental Car Center shuttle bus service previously in operation. There are NO counters located in the Arrival Terminals. ALL CUSTOMERS must follow signs to the baggage claim area. Then customers must exit the concourse level and take an elevator to Miami's third level moving walkway, which connects to the MIA Mover. The walk time from the airline arrival area to the tram could be as long as 15 minutes. The MIA Mover is about a 4 minute ride and will transport you to the Rental Car Center on level 4 where the counters are located. Once off the tram, Budget is located across the lobby area. CARS: Located on Level 2 of the Rental Car Center.

Drop-off Instructions

Return your car rental to the Miami Airport Rental Car Center at 3900 NW 25th Street in Miami. Returns can be made on the second level. Budget at MIA offers 24-hour rental car returns, which means you can return your car rental at any time of day.

Car type reservation was not available, thus the company was forced to honor with an upgrade. Personnel at counter was not quite amiable probably caused by a reservation not done directly thru the company website, they can not find the reservation nor understood where was the reservation at the printed papers showing it, after a while, they finally noticed it.

The car was nice, waiting line at pick was over 2 hours, employee at the desk tried to sell us extra insurance which we already bought from a third party. When we returned the car, we were charged 100 Dollars extra than what we signed up for. I know about 30 Dollars go for the refilling the gas tank but there is still extra 70 Dollars which are not stated any where what are they for. I am not sure that this lack of transparency on the Budget side, would encourage us to be clients in future.

I picked up the car at 8:30 AM, arrived half an hour early but there were still many people. I waited in line for over an hour and the staff were very impatient due to various reasons. The car rental staff was arrogant and uncommunicative. They didn't answer my questions and insisted on selling me additional insurance at first. I declined and specified that I didn't need any extra services beyond what I had booked online. Then, they brought up the fuel issue, to which I replied, 'I will refill the gas when I return.' However, while signing the contract, I realized they had included a clause for pre-purchasing a full tank of gas. They rushed me to sign multiple parts, and when I asked for explanations, they just said 'you have to agree' and kept pressuring me, mentioning there were people waiting behind me. They charged a $100 deposit as a vehicle deposit. When we returned the car with a full tank of gas, we noticed the $100 pre-authorization had turned into a $33.45 charge. We approached the rental counter again, noticing that the lady at the counter was not attending to anyone. When we tried to talk to her, she told us to step back behind the line, saying she was busy and that we should wait until she called us. When she finally called us over, she continued doing her task without looking up and rudely said 'talk to me!' Her attitude was very arrogant and filled with discrimination against Chinese people! Regarding the issue of pre-purchasing a full tank of gas, they said we had signed for it in the contract, and they would not refund us for the extra gas we had refilled. The most infuriating part of this experience was the rental company's attitude towards Chinese people!

They upsold a highway toll box and charged an extra $240. Also, make sure to check the contract before picking up the car, as they had already charged for a full tank of gas. When returning the car, be sure to return it empty. I returned it with a full tank, and it was nearly impossible to get a refund through them. It's also very hard to reach the car rental company by phone in the U.S. Lastly, they required the gas receipt, which nobody usually keeps.
