Price was awesome. Dislike: Distance to Rental car park in teeming rain (or midday sun and high humidity) hauling a suitcase in Darwin. Was a drowned rat at both pick up and drop off. Flooding to covered walkway ensured footwear was drenched too.
I think a courtesy call or email during my six week rental would have been a great customer service.
Like: Excellent car, new and very clean. The guy at the drop off area was extremely helpful, very friendly and made sure all of my items were out of the car before he would let the cleaners take it, top marks to this gentleman a very positive to the previous young lady at the service desk. Dislike: The young lady at the service desk was extremely rude; instead of looking at me she looked down at me, no smile, didn't explain the conditions properly as my insurance was through easy car hire, after she looked at my print out from easy car hire regarding the insurance her response was rather abrupt and unfriendly. Did not properly explain the $100 deposit they imposed on me, it told her I had already paid a deposit to easy car hire. Maybe I got some of it wrong but she was damn right rude and unhelpful. The experience left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I have hired many cars in my life time but never experienced such bad customer service before. I was the only customer there I got the feeling she didn't like dealing with older people. Changed my mind about every hiring a car from Europe Car Hire in Darwin again.
Our flight arrived late at 2am in the morning just as the Hertz counter was closing. We were given our keys and took out top insurance offered by your staff member. After a long walk to the vehicle we realized how damaged the car was but it was too late to go back as the counter was closed. We paid top insurance for car that was likely uninsurable due to its condition, balled tyres, dents and panel damage all over the car- the car was completely unsafe particularly for the weather but also the long road trips we had planned. We phoned to complian an the lady sounded completely uninterested. We were told the manager would phone us to discuss but received no contact. We are completely unhappy with the service and condition of the car and the amount we paid to insure a vehicle that was already in such poor condition.
Dislike: The cost was nearly $60 more than when we booked. I can only assume that the 10 days it took to come through was because you were waiting for the exchange rate to allow you to charge more.
Like: Able to get unlimited Km with Easyrentcars, where Europcar only offers 200km per day. Made it easy to drive to Adelaide River to see the jumping Crocodiles. Dislike: Nothing

Like: The staff member was friendly and explained things clearly and helped with a map knowing we had never been there before. We got a free upgrade due to the car we booked not being available - better than expected! Dislike: Got a bit confused on refilling the petrol as the paperwork was not clear in showing the car was unleaded - so had to ask petrol station staff for help.
