The counter was easy to find. Picking up and returning the car was very convenient, and the car was in good condition. However, it was the first time I heard that there were additional fees for driving across multiple countries in Europe. It felt like the front desk was just looking for ways to charge extra.
A big queue and a long wait at collection was the only issue. Staff seemed very slow serving each customer. It seems more advanced preparation could be done as all bookings are done in advance, so why so much paperwork is filled in on the day, I have no idea!
I got a Mazda 6, the performance is grate but the car already have some scratches on it. I like the auto speed control, that help me don’t wary about speed limit.
Everything went smoothly on renting both pick-up and drop-off, friendly and fast staff.

The car was good. There were only 2 counter staff when I picked up. So I had to wait about 10-15 in queue. And no one introduce to me about the car. So I took a few minutes to study it.
But most disappointing was that when my car was broken down on the road in Austria, I called the Europcar hotline for many times, but no one answered the phone or couldn’t reach for help. I found 1 local people in car repairing workshop to help at last, and he helped me to reach Europcar at last. This gave me bad experience.
And it’s better that the Nagivation can find the location by location telephone. For example the hotel telephone.
They kept pushing insurance and the cross-border fee was twice the suggested price. There was no personnel for vehicle handover, the vehicle provided wasn't the one reserved, and it had multiple noticeable scratches that weren't marked. We had to go back to the rental place, wasting a lot of time. There was a mileage limit that wasn't mentioned, and there was no mutual verification of the mileage data. The charge for excess mileage should be communicated and signed off in advance. There was no mileage check when returning the car either. The deposit has not been released two weeks after returning the car, and there are unclear charges. The responsibilities are not clearly defined, making the customer very dissatisfied. Why is the cross-border fee so expensive without a clear standard?
