Easy to collect (after the long queue) and drop off at Munich railway station although you need to keep your eyes peeled to find the drop off garage.
Dislike: We queued for nearly an hour at Munich airport to pick up the vehicle even with the ticket system. The ticket machine needs to be more obvious or at least a more obvious sign.

Pick up of car in a dark car park - hard to see any damage. There was damage on the wheel trims, which I took a photo of. The drop off location was very well lit, and the Europcar team said the wheel damage was caused by us. Fortunately I was able to show the photo evidence of the damage being there on pick up, but thought that the whole process was corrupt by Europcar. With the dark car park for pick up so we can't easily see damage when we pick up, but very well lit to help them in the drop off car park. Probably will not use Europcar again in the future - for this dirty con trick they tried.

They tried to sell me their full protection after refusing two cars with dents and scratches. One should be more careful when collecting the vehicle and should do a full check-up before getting in trouble when returning the vehicle. When staff would try to warn you if you do not take their full protection insurance while the other staff would try to blame you on scratches you did not make when returning the vehicle. Just be cautious and smart when dealing with both kinds of staff.

Not very happy. We originally booked a Golf, but it wasn't available when we picked up the car. They suggested we take an Audi A3 and handed us 3-4 Audi keys, checking each one and saying the car was parked in a spot it couldn't get out of. Finally, they gave me a key with an S badge. The car didn't drive well. Only later did I realize it was a SEAT LEON.

Pickup at Munich Airport: After a ten-hour flight, we arrived at the counter around 11 PM. There were two staff members: a friendly English-speaking lady and a nonchalant German-speaking man. We rented three cars in total. By the time we finished the paperwork and got to the parking lot, it was around midnight. One car's warning light (triangle exclamation mark) came on as soon as we left the parking lot. We returned to the counter, but Europcar had already closed. Luckily, a returning staff member helped us. A series of steps followed: from the counter to the parking lot, determining low oil was the issue, adding oil, but it was still too low. As exchanging the car required logging into the system, and other cars were not yet registered, the staff suggested we go to a gas station to add oil or return the next day if there were issues. We insisted on having the staff accompany us, which proved wise. At the gas station, we couldn't find the specific oil the car needed, despite a full cabinet of oils. We returned to the parking lot and then back to the counter to redo the paperwork for a new car. This whole process delayed us by two hours, and a child got slightly injured bumping into a post during the wait. Experience: Europ's cars are cheap but in average condition. Given our route and need for an automatic transmission, it was the only choice. Another car's warning light came on frequently, indicating low oil. Consider the counter hours and leave extra time. If there's no one at night, it's really helpless—the airport rental counters are empty midnight. Don't believe staff if they say, 'Just observe and deal with it later.' Insist on resolving issues immediately, or it will be more troublesome if problems arise on the road.

Europcar had five out of seven desks open, which was less than other companies who had all their counters open. However, a positive aspect was their numbered ticket system, so you don't have to stand in line after taking a number; you can browse nearby shops. This time, I waited nearly 40 minutes to get the car. I noticed that foreigners finished their process in just a few minutes; it took me less than ten minutes, but the groups of Chinese people in front of me took significantly longer, especially one group that took over half an hour.

A male staff member initially assisted, but said our reserved car type (Volkswagen Golf Estate or similar) was still in town and suggested an upgrade for €25/day. I declined, suspecting a sales tactic. He bluntly told us to wait and come back around 8:00-8:15. After 8:00, a female staff member assisted us, and after verifying our documents and credit card, she didn't hassle us since we had full insurance through the car rental company. Just as she was about to hand over the Volkswagen keys, she and a supervisor couldn't find the car's documents. They politely explained it was an internal issue and offered us a free upgrade to a Mazda. Waiting proved worthwhile!

When I went back the next day to add it, they said it wasn't possible unless I canceled and rebooked, going through all the procedures like refueling and vehicle inspection again. The most frustrating part was that if I canceled, I wouldn't get a refund for the 16-day rental fee! This was the most unpleasant day of our entire trip! Moreover, the employee gave us a different model than we booked and didn't provide any details. I had to ask about everything, even what type of fuel to use. All he cared about was ‘getting off work.’ We spent the entire day at the store without solving the problem, wasting a whole day. Additionally, the rental company didn't support us in this matter, and we felt bullied. We are extremely dissatisfied. As an experienced traveler, I kindly advise everyone to choose your rental company carefully. A company without good service can ruin your entire trip.

We had booked a Mercedes E-Class, but were informed at pickup that only an Audi A5 was available. With five of us, it felt a bit small. We wanted to exchange it for another model but were told no other cars were available. On the bright side, the car was new and very clean.
