LA GUARDIA AIRPORT CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

The queuing time was quite long, probably because there were many people near the airport. We waited for more than an hour. There was no extra sales pitch. However, we booked a Ford Focus or a similar class car, but we received a Chevrolet SPARK. When I asked at the counter, the staff said this is considered the same class. Who knows how they classify them? At least in China, these two are definitely not in the same class. Also, the middle seat at the back of the Chevrolet SPARK is a cup holder, so since we had 5 people, one had to make do. For a long trip, this would be unbearable.

Like: The car was almost new and in great condition.
Dislike: The location was understaffed, hence a very long queue at pickup counter.

We rented three cars, and there were two agents at the time. One was an African American elderly lady, and the other seemed to be an elderly Indian lady with big eyes and a very wide jaw, looking somewhat like a lizard. She was extremely poor in attitude, appeared to discriminate against Chinese people, and secretly added insurance to our rental despite us explicitly stating that we did not want any additional insurance. Her service attitude was extremely poor! The other African American elderly lady was very good.

Few service staff. Promised free Chinese GPS but was not provided. It took 5 hours of communication to complete the payment.

The vehicle inspection needs improvement. The car I received had a flat tire and it couldn't be fixed on the spot. I had to talk to the service desk to get a replacement, which took quite some time.

Got a car with a flat tire, and it was a Japanese car with manual seat adjustment. Not a good rental experience.

This isn't the first time I've used this rental company, and I've always been quite satisfied. The cars are relatively new, and the paperwork process is quick. However, this time picking up the car at LGA airport, the African American female service agent took a lot of time and couldn't get it done. She kept asking about the driver's license address. Eventually, a manager came out and resolved everything in ten seconds. Returning the car at JFK airport was very efficient, took less than a minute.

The service attitude was decent, and the waiting time was very short.

The store is large and has a complete range of vehicles. Even if you don't speak the language well, gestures will do. Especially when returning the car, it takes less than a minute, it's incredibly fast!

Unexplained charges! Everything else is fine.

The woman at the New York location had a bad attitude. Her English was just sufficient for communication, but she added many extra items like prepaid gas, which was not fair.
