Pickup and drop-off were quite convenient. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this rental company.

When picking up the car, we noticed a lot of scratches and dents that were not recorded on the check-in sheet. We asked the staff to note down four spots, but they missed one. When we returned the car at the airport, they insisted it was our fault and made us go to the counter for processing. We were in a rush to catch our flight, which made it extremely inconvenient. Such tricks!

I had a very bad experience with Europcar. The staff made some mistakes on contract so we have been waited for 1 hr to get our cars. After rental, we returned the car to Europcar, the staff there has checked and kept the key. They emailed us again and mentioned we did not return. Also, we were extra charged by Europcar $250+ Aud. And I have to make oversea call to get back my refund. Overall, it really makes us very disappointed with the car rental service.

I've rented cars in Australia for two years, and this was the most disappointing experience. 1. I chose a Camry but received a Hyundai instead (which is common), but the brake and accelerator were very sluggish, almost causing several dangerous situations. 2. Usually, a staff member leads the inspection with previous rentals, noting any damages and explaining the car's condition. This time, after registering with Hertz, the staff just handed me the key and told me where the car was. There was no car condition inspection! 3. The fuel tank was not full! When I picked up the car, it could go over 400 kilometers, and I didn’t think to check the fuel tank. When returning the car, I refueled it to over 550 kilometers. The staff said it wasn’t full, and I either had to pay a $60 fine or refuel it again. Since I didn’t take a photo of the odometer when picking up the car, I had no proof, and the responsibility for the fuel shortage fell on me. I refueled to over 650 kilometers and returned the car again, meaning the distance I drove in a day was less than the additional fuel the car needed when I picked it up. Overall, a very frustrating rental experience with a poorly maintained car, an empty fuel tank, and unprofessional staff who didn't inspect the vehicle. Not sure if this issue was due to the rental company or the agent.

Where is the promised Chinese service? Where is the promised GPS?

I was very satisfied with Hertz this time. Picking up and returning the car was very convenient. The rental price was very affordable as I purchased the full insurance package from a promotion. After some consideration at the store, I also opted for the towing insurance at 3 AUD per day. The return location in Melbourne is right in the city center, conveniently on the left side of the road, and the return process was quick. But make sure to return the car on time!

Returning the car in Adelaide city center was a nightmare! I went there four times in two days and still couldn't return the car successfully. It disrupted my plans for a whole day and cost me nearly 100 AUD in parking and transportation fees!

Attention everyone renting a car at the Sydney Airport store in Australia: The staff at this store may downgrade the car model you booked without permission. I booked a Toyota Kluger (similar to the Highlander), but they replaced it with a RAV4 and told me it was sufficient. Only after insisting did I get the Kluger back. The person who attended to me was a Chinese who didn't speak Chinese, probably taking advantage of the fact that our English is not great. Don't let them confuse you! The $16.5 AUD per day unlimited toll fee package they recommended is optional. In reality, the drive (from Sydney to Gold Coast) was all on free roads, with no tolls. Don't be deceived!

The store is a bit far, but the car condition is very good; very satisfied.
