Counter staff refused to give me a car unless I pay for the upgraded insurance that would cost 300 euro so I refused to pay as the car was to come with insurance and I also have coverage with my credit card I asked would the put a hold for the overage on my card and they refused.

All great. I spelled my name incorrectly though and it is Bluett and not Blitt or whatever I used. Great staff and whenever I use thrifty, I only need it for very short journey. Will use again. Thanks

We got a car that definitely exceed our expectations. Staff were professional and helpful. No hassle regarding insurance. Insurance was offered but he staff did not insist on it.

Excellent booking platform. Everything is clear in terms of insurance policies - basic vs super. All information regarding documentation required was clear. Online support was great.

The counter staff recommend us to book an insurance even when we have booked full insurance with Easyrentcars because they told us it won't cover everything. After our trip we have re-read all the information and we were perfectly covered so 100€ wasted...

Counter staff not as polite as in terminal staff.Very disappointed that vehicle had no built in sat nav, the portable loaned to us was unsatisfactory.

It was a brand new car so it was great. Heard a lot of horror stories about renting in Ireland so went with Alamo because of the good reviews. Not a single problem or issue and the staff were fantastic. Will most definitely use them again on future trips!

Have never used the service before so was a little nervous but was the easiest rental experience ever!

The models are fundamentally different.

We couldn’t get the car. It was the most terrible car rental experience ever Initially booked car didn’t have floor mats and my foot kept slipping so I requested to change the vehicle. After waiting for over 30 minutes we were finally upgrades to a bmw5 series . We then had to wait for the car to be washed. After 15 more minutes the guy came to us and said he cannot let us this car as someone else already booked it. So we walked away without having a car at all ! It was a complete waste of time.

Why do they require such a large deposit, and how long will it take to refund?

Car excellent Bad communication about difference between Car Insurance / Rent a car company. We hire car with this company because Web site offers 13.95 by day. I paid by credit card 13.95 however when were in the meeting point the staff tell us to pay 49 euro for hire car by day.

Took over an hour from arriving to leaving in car. Not ready had to be fetched from other terminal when it arrived it was filthy outside and not much better inside

Staff and car excellent. Had to take a taxi to collect car. Driver very unhappy with short journey...and made his view clearly known. That was an uncomfortable experience. Stephanie checked me in and was lovely

Car was basic but perfect for my simple holiday I don’t need frills and whistles. Just functional and reliable

The car was dented did not have it on the form but luvkierly we took photos so we could show them so we got the refund back but it takes 10 to 15 days which is a bit long

The car broke down on a major highway. It was terribly dangerous and we had to be extracted and then I was charged for the extraction. I was then given the same type of car when I asked for a standard I was told I would have to pay more after what we had already gone through. I will be contacting the company and have put a hold on my credit card payment.

Very satisfied. The car rental desk at Dublin Airport was easy to find, located within the airport. The procedures were straightforward. When we asked if there were any fees for taking the car to Northern Ireland, they assured us there were no extra charges (unlike what the website said about daily fees in euros). After completing the paperwork, the shuttle bus arrived quickly to take us to the parking lot. The staff helped us load all our luggage into the car.

Thrifty were overrun with people trying to collect cars. Took 20 mins to get to the front of the queue and then 20mins before the car was delivered , after being told fine mins. Part of the Hertz franchise at Dublin, their customers faired a little better

No shuttle bus , terrible location, had to walk in the rain for pick up due to incorrect address being provided and then was driven back to the same place I had walked from , location pick up point was wrong on email , rude staff , no customer service, didn’t care

Changed a diesel bigger car. More expensive in renting but cheaper in filling up the tank. Overall is an acceptable change.
