The car pickup and return processes were convenient and fast. The staff carefully pointed out existing flaws when handing over the car. The return was very quick and not inspected in front of us, but after returning to our country, we received an email stating there were scratches and charged 240 euros. Fortunately, we had insurance, so there was no personal loss.
A local rental company, everything went smoothly for both pickup and drop-off. When picking up the car, I noticed a scratch that was not recorded, so I immediately informed the staff. They assured me that it was fine since they had taken photos. If I was asked to pay for it when returning, I could just show them the photos. During the return, they didn't check the scratches, only inspected the area under the trunk. Overall, it was very smooth.
I booked an SUV, but was given a sedan on site. The trunk couldn't fit all my luggage, and I had to put it in the middle of the back seat, which seriously affected my travel experience!
The service was good and not pushy. It's clear that the staff is professional. The car was quite new, with only a little over 30,000 kilometers. The vehicle was in good condition. However, it seems this car is a lower trim? It didn't even have a backup camera.
Overall satisfied, but the damage assessment is too high. A very slight scratch costs 280 euros, plus service fees and other charges. Luckily, I bought the super insurance. But I haven't started the claims process yet, so I don't know if I can claim the full amount.
On the first day of the rental, we had a flat tire and had to get it replaced. The rental company did not cover this and charged us for a new tire of the same brand plus an additional 30 euros as a so-called management fee. When picking up the car, we were only informed about the extra driver fee, but upon return, they also charged us a young driver fee for drivers under 25. Fees should be clearly communicated from the beginning.
