unclear as to where or how to get the transfer bus when found after a phone call ,then quite a wait for it to collect us, then a very long wait to book in to collect the car, collection/booking in process unclear and a very aggressive attempt at upselling by the staff

It was the worst rental car experience ever. We waited more than two hours to get to the counter and this was after we paid an extra $18 euro to get moved higher in the line. Everyone was annoyed, upset and it was awful.

They have charged me an insurance protection without ever telling me what it was!!! She told me there would be a £70 fuel deposit, took my card and charged me €310 without ever saying what it was! Complete rip off company, will never use Goldcar again.

On nous a demandé de juste laisser la voiture au retour , sans contrôle, ni rien. Donc il faudrait qu'il y est un vrai check out pour confirmer que la voiture était bien intacte et que la caution soit rendue car justement la voiture était en parfait état
Nous attendons toujours notre caution de 350€
Mauvaise surprise lors de la réception de la voiture, leur logiciel ne peut pas bloquer de caution sur ma Carte Visa et ils disent que ça vient de ma carte hors j ai déjà bloqué des cautions dessus sans soucis.
Si ma femme n'était pas la je n'aurai rien lâché car la seule alternative est de payé l'assurance à 85 euros...
En resservant la voiture nous n'avions pas eu de détail sur les prix de l'assurance/Caution.
à la récupération de la voiture nous avons été surpris par les frais à payer sur place.
Si non à part ce détail, la voiture était en bonne état, la navette vers l’aéroport est rapide, le personnel est professionnel. Je recommande.
Incident signalé auprès de Goldcar ce jour :Bonjour,
J'ai loué un véhicule du 7 au 14 juillet à Palma de Majorque.
Le jour de la prise en charge, on m'a fait payé un montant de 342,67 € en me précisant que ça allait m'être remboursé à la fin de la location. On ne m'a, à aucun moment, demandé si je voulais prendre une assurance complémentaire (j'avais déjà pris une assurance 0 franchise auprès de AXA via le site sur lequel j'ai loué la voiture Easyrentcars).
On m'a remboursé 117 € concernant le plein d'essence que j'ai fait au retour.
Mais on ne m'a pas remboursé le reste !
Je viens de contacter le service commercial (qui n'a de commercial que le nom) où on m'a expliqué que j'avais souscrit une assurance complémentaire !!!
C'est une honte d'imposer comme cela une assurance à un client sans même lui demander ou lui expliquer. Je l'aurais de suite déclinée dans la mesure où j'en possédais déjà une.
Ce sont des méthodes d'escrocs et je vous demande de me rembourser dans les meilleurs délais cette somme correspondante à cette assurance.
Je vous remercie de votre réponse rapide et positive sans quoi je lancerai une procédure et sans quoi je ne manquerai pas de signaler vos méthodes à travers les réseaux sociaux.

Unfortunately, very bad experience!
The company didn't ask me with full fuel policy I would like to go.
They put me in full/empty fuel policy, it means a clearly a ruse that benefits the renatal company.
I payed 123.38£ fuel deposit and and they give me back only 78.48£ eaven if returned the tank full.
What happened with the 45£?
It is the cost of the policy full/empty !
It was ridiculos.
Please, try to avoid this company or ask for a full/full fuel deposit.
I was 1 mile from the airport and intended to fill up the gasoline but the car's engine malfunctioned and became very dangerous so I could no longer drive the vehicle. It was not safe for me to proceed with filling up the gasoline tank. The issue was that the engine began to rev up at an accelerated rate of 5 on the tachometer despite my foot was on the break and the vehicle was at a stop. I had no other choice but to put the car into park, pull up the emergency break and turn the vehicle off to avoid throttling into oncoming traffic. Even with the car in ‘park’ the engine was still revving to a 5. As you can see, this car was not safe to drive. I was terrified and almost lost my life had the cur lurched again as it was trying to do, myself and others would have surely been dead. I was infront of Lidos Cuidad Jardin and left the car in the parking lot. It was not safe to operate further. Therefore I was not able to get gasoline and instead had to call a taxi to the airport. This was not only a terrifying experience but highly inconvenient for me to have to call a taxi on a busy road with all of my luggage because the car I rented and trusted would get me back to the airport safely instead malfunctioned and almost cost me my life. I’m disappointed to see I was charged $105 for gas after all of the trouble you caused me and ruined the end of my vacation by putting me in great danger. I would like refund for 1) the $105 for gasoline because it was impossible for me to refuel give the vehicle’s faulty condition and 2) the entire cost of my rental for this inconvenience and trauma you have caused me at the end of my vacation $363.26 ($292.68 + $70.58). Lastly, please get this car fixed before putting other customers lives in danger – this car is not safe.
They push you into buying their own insurance or fast track even if you have super insurance which includes excess fee for the vehicle. The company pushes you to buy either their insurance or pay the entire excess deposit in advance. To avoid large excess being charged poor customers have to buy their insurance.

Terrible service at counter, unable to help to extend booking by a day resulting in having to return to Palms airport the next day to pick up a new car. Counter unhelpful and dismissive. Accused me of being rude when she was prickly, unhelpful, curt and rude about me to her colleague in Spanish

Front desk answered all of our questions and tried to be as helpful as possible. They were fantastic!
The car had some brake trouble which at times was really scary, some dash warnings would pop up from time to time which were a little alarming, and the gps does not recognize addresses so you have to manually look for the destination on the gps map which is tough if you don’t know where you’re going!
