Great car with high specs. More than I actually asked for.

Great way to save money on car rental

We booked a Ford, scheduled to pick up a Focus at 12:00 PM. We arrived at the store at 10:30 AM and were told we were early. Waited until 11:30 AM, then told the car was still not available and we had to wait until 2:00 PM. The car model was not fixed, and there was no fee for extra miles. However, the car was small and its condition was average. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

Big brand, trustworthy!

The car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car was very new and clean, with just 13,000 miles. The staff knew I wasn't used to driving a Mercedes and introduced various functions to me. Very professional and efficient.

The car had damage in the tyres the rubber was damaged, fortunately i took a photo, because when i came back they try to charge me. Also I whent thro a road that i had to pay when it os pic hour, and i paid the same day. Anyway AVIS thought that i did not paid so the charged me. Again i have proof that i paid so i claimed the money back. Just 5 pounds but... why do i have to pay twice. In total 2 Big mistakes in my opinion.

No Chinese service, the return location was closed without prior notice, and the phone couldn't be reached.

Did not accept Chinese driver's license translation, rental failed

The rental company couldn't provide the car at the reserved time, and the staff was extremely rude, making various excuses. We waited for 3 hours (by that time it was already 2 PM, an hour past the reserved pick-up time of 1 PM), and just before we were ready to complete the pick-up process, we asked what compensation the rental company would offer for the delay. The staff replied that if we didn’t want to rent, we could leave immediately. We were very dissatisfied with this attitude, so following the advice of the rental platform, we did not pick up the car.

The car was better than anticipated

Choosing to rent a car in Cambridge was the right decision. Driving in London can be a bit of a hassle, especially with parking. Starting from Cambridge made it easier to reach the rental branch and adapt to the traffic quickly. There were no other customers when we arrived, so we had a nice chat with the staff. Eventually, we were advised to upgrade to a JEEP SUV.

There was no sign or indication of Alamo at the location, it was under another company name. The phone number provided was a fax number, and no one answered. We spent over forty minutes driving around in a taxi asking people nearby, but no one knew about this company. Finally, another car rental company told us that this company operates under a different name locally. Not sure if it’s an issue with the rental website or the car rental company. Overall, it caused a delay and we spent a lot on taxi fares.

The car rental company provided excellent service. Despite the language barrier, they patiently explained everything and used translation software to ensure clear communication. The vehicle matched the reservation and was in great condition.

The car pickup in Cambridge and drop-off in the Lake District were great experiences. The staff were very nice and the small car took us to many places that were hard to reach with public transportation. Very happy.

They need DVLA share code, may be it can be specified on the web to reduce time of car pick-up

The pickup was quick. After confirming the car with the credit card, I was able to drive away.

We were two families who booked a Ford Focus but were given a 2-door Fiesta after waiting for a short while. We couldn't fit our luggage except on the front seats, and the other family had to wait for two hours to get their car. Meanwhile, two locals got their cars immediately upon arrival, clearly discriminating against Chinese customers. We will never book with this company again.
