TAMPA CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

Like: Clean vehicle in top shape. Full tank.Family friendly.

Dollar rental car charges $10 a gallon for gas and neglected to inform me of this prior, plus never told me that the closest gas station to Tampa Intl airport is a 30minute round trip. Needless to say cost me almost as much to refill half a tank of gas as my whole rental car cost.

when returning the vehicle a ding that was so small to the eye was noticed by the dollar employee.It was so small that when I picked up the vehicle I could have missed it .I was not involved in any altercation at all.

The check in was quick. What I didn't like was that they tried to sell insurance, and other things like gas and EZ Pass (or Florida's version of it) for tolls. This raises the daily price of the rental significantly. I ended up getting the toll pass thinking that many of the roads were toll roads, and we did not use it even once in four days of extensive driving. It was a big waste of money. Also, I booked a Chrysler Pacifica and ended up with a Dodge Caravan. No big deal. The vehicle had an annoying rattle. Other than that, the staff was professional and courteous and the vehicle was a late model and very clean. The drop off was even quicker than the check in. Just drive up and walk away.

Europcar do not operate from Tampa, instead they use another provider who I was not informed about so when I arrived I could not find the provider. Given a vehicle of the grim the manufacturer but smaller model

Counter staff should have explained tolls are only around Tampa and Miami. We had to drive 2 hrs back to airport to cancel transponder but problem was dealt with very quickly and courteously

The only thing was at drop off there was no one there to check car in I was there just before 4:00 am and just parked and left vehicle

Car was in terrible condition. There were cigarette burns and stains on the seats. You could tell the car was previously in an accident because of all the scrapes, missing paint, and the car panels kept popping out. They also tried making me pay for the car again even though it was prepaid. This was this biggest waste of time. Then I had to call to sort it out and they are located in Europe and it was difficult to communicate with them. Scammers!

Europcar does not exist at Tampa Airport where I was supposed to get my car. It was very stressful until I got in touch with someone who told me to look for Advantage. Then they had no record of my payment. I never in my whole life had a worse experience.

they were the worst, representative made us wait ti try to up sell us insurance, bigger cars and even went to talk to my wife making us wait another half hour

It was really convenient.

Dislike: I had to bring the first car back after few days because it was showing tire maintenance alert but other than that, it was fine.

The wait at pick up counter was awful. I waited over 1 1/2 hours to Pick up a pre booked rental.

The car far exceeded my expectactions. Loved it!

The car was fine, except the brakes needed to be serviced. They squealed & caught at low speeds. The driver’s side window was sluggish & the gasket came out of the track. Other aspects of the car were fine.

They were great But do not rent Chevrolet Impala

The coralla was perfect for my needs. Good mileage and fine ride. Car was a little dinged and scuffed but that was ok. I didn't know that EZ rentals was giving us the car for Europcar so it took a little longer to find you but return was super easy.

Highly recommended

Like: Decent price considering it was the 4th of July time period. Car ran well with no problems and was able to fit luggage for 4 adults and 2 children. Backup camera was great.
Dislike: Could not find how to check how many mpg we were getting. Also, there were no indicators on the mirrors showing when a vehicle was next to ours (We have gotten use to this safety feature). Also, no adaptive cruise control.

My flight was delayed, and when coordinating with the car rental company, they refused to provide me with the car, citing their 1 PM closing time as an excuse. Even though I offered to pay additional fees and meet other requirements, they did not allow me to pick up the car. As a result, I never got the car, and they still haven't refunded my payment.
