I've always rented cars through this platform, but this time the experience was terrible. After returning the car, the American rental company charged me $280, $275 of which was a management fee and the rest was for tolls. I don't question the toll fees, but the $275 management fee is absurd. I rented a car at the same airport two years ago and didn't have this charge. This fee is almost equal to the rental cost itself, meaning I paid almost twice the amount for the rental. The rental company said the high cost was due to labor costs, but I doubt such a significant difference between companies at the same airport. The customer service representative said they tried to negotiate with the rental company but got nowhere. If they continue to treat Chinese customers this way, this platform should stop collaborating with them to prevent more people from being deceived. Avoid Advantage Rentals at all costs.

Extremely dissatisfied. The rental company staff were rude throughout the entire process. They set up various obstacles to prevent us from picking up the car. Tried every possible way to charge us extra fees and attempted to forcefully sell us a full tank of gas at a high price. They refused to give us the car unless we bought it. We've rented cars multiple times in the UK, USA, and Thailand and have never encountered such unreasonable behavior. Even in Japan, where the process is the most complicated and strict, we were treated politely. Very disappointed, this is a company that does not respect its customers.

Excellent service

Arrived late night, basically no queue

Initially, they gave us a car without a front license plate and not the model I had booked. Later, the patrolling staff at the car park noticed and said it was unusable, asked the service staff to switch, and we were told there were no cars at that spot. Finally, albeit reluctantly, the receptionist gave us the car model we had booked.

After returning home, I was inexplicably charged over 300 dollars. The rental customer service said it was an upgrade fee, but we rented the model we had booked, and no one informed us at pickup. This is outrageous!

I flew from Los Angeles to Newark and arrived around 5 AM, so there were hardly any lines. The car pickup process was very smooth. I encountered the same two African-American ladies during both of my rentals. They were fast, efficient, and very attentive. Highly recommended.

For self-driving in other European countries or places where you understand the language, any car rental company is fine. However, for self-driving in the US, I found AVIS to be the most reliable, though Hertz is also good but tends to be more expensive. Compared to Hertz, AVIS offers better value for money. The cars are new and come with Easypass, so you don't need to rent it separately. Some companies seem cheap at first, but when you add the Easypass rental and other hidden fees, the total cost is much higher than AVIS. The return process is very simple, and the service is very patient. I'll definitely choose them again in the future.

Insisted my credit card was a debit card, trying to charge more. Then someone else placed the order with a new card. Additionally, the ePass fees are ridiculous. No matter how many times you use it, once you start, it's $24.99 per day, making us avoid toll roads. They also tried to scare us by saying Boston has all electronic tolls and that we'd be stuck without it, but it wasn't that bad!

Like: Dianne went out of the way to help us and she wanted to make us feel as comfortable as possible.
