The entire car rental process took about an hour. They tried to upsell a full tank of gas, but no additional insurance. Upon request, they specifically brought out a Suburban for us. It was a 2015 model with 20,000 miles. The service was indeed very good. Returning the car at San Francisco Airport was very convenient.
1. When picking up the car, an older lady at the Dollar counter, wearing a mask, was extremely rude. She was completely indifferent, did not respond to questions, and wore a scowl the entire time as if we owed her something. She provided no instructions or explanations during the process—she just handed over a vehicle tag without saying where to pick up the car. Later, I asked another lady in the lobby, who was slim, tall, and kind, and she nicely helped me find the car in the parking lot. 2. I had reserved a Jeep but ended up getting a Ford. The car's condition was acceptable overall, but the fuel consumption was unusually high.
Gave me a free upgrade and a wide variety of SUV's to choose from. The guy at the counter did try to fleece me but besides that, the whole process was smooth. Enjoyed the car and the drive.
