We were very satisfied with this overseas car rental experience. We came across Budget car rental online by chance while planning a family trip to Thailand. We were worried about transportation in Chiang Mai because my parents are elderly and walking or riding bicycles or motorcycles would not be suitable. Renting a car seemed like a good idea, providing freedom and catering to my family's needs. I called for detailed consultation and prepared the necessary documents. On the day of the rental, we went to the airport to pick up the car. The process was quick and smooth, and the staff were very friendly. Adapting to driving on the left with a right-hand drive was faster than I expected. We even drove to Pai on mountain roads the same day, and both the road and car conditions were excellent. On the return day, I was worried that the car inspection might be slow and cause us to miss our flight, but it went surprisingly fast. Overall, everything went smoothly. Thanks to Budget.
The pick-up address was incorrect, and the location found on Google Maps was not accurate. It was very difficult to get through on the phone, and when I finally did, the receptionist's English was not very good and was not clear. The process was quite slow, taking almost an hour to get the car. They also didn't mention that you need to call before returning the car. Overall, it was still a great value.
The model I wanted was unavailable, so they upgraded me to a big car with a 2.0-liter engine, an MPV. It was quite a waste, but luckily I found a co-driver the next day. Not bad, the good thing about a big car is that it can carry a lot of stuff. Returning the car was very convenient, it was done in a minute. Just check the exterior and fuel gauge, and you're good to go.

The child car seat was terrible. It was dusty and had bad smell. It was like the company has been using for over 10 years without cleaning. My daughter got allergy since the first day of using the car.
The counter staff was also helpless. They kept asking me to buy more insurance package without checking the document that I chose super plus insurance package. And the last thing, the car wasn't Honda civic. Overall, it was quite terrible experience this time.
