I reserved a Mercedes E-Class, but when I arrived in Frankfurt, they gave me a Jeep Wrangler! After refusing it, they replaced it with an XC90. At the time, I thought it was an XC60 and didn't pay much attention. Only when I got the car did I realize, and ended up spending over 200 euros in three days! Hertz in Europe is honestly mediocre. A few days ago in Switzerland, I used Europcar, and it was much better.

When booking, it was specified that we would travel to other countries, including Eastern Europe. Upon pickup, we were forced to buy additional insurance because the trip included Eastern Europe. This should have been clarified when placing the order. After over an hour of negotiation, we managed to reduce the extra insurance cost twice. In the end, we spent an additional 50 euros on insurance.

Got upgraded to a Range Rover Sport, felt like a great deal

When we arrived in Frankfurt, the Mercedes 8-seater we reserved was unavailable, and they insisted on giving us a Ford 7-seater instead. We had eight people, how could we all fit? We went back to negotiate with the lady at the counter. She insisted that only the 7-seater was available. The two cars are of different sizes and not even in the same group. She was clearly lying, saying that the rest were all 9-seaters that required extra payment to upgrade. We argued that this was Hertz's problem and they needed to resolve it. She eventually said she would try to get a car from a nearby location but couldn't guarantee it. She asked us to wait on a nearby sofa, but we insisted on waiting at the counter. In less than a minute, she rummaged around and suddenly found the 8-seater Mercedes right next to the Ford. This is blatant lying. If not for the communication between Zuzuche and Hertz, I would have sent an email to complain. I have Hertz's gold card and this is the kind of deceptive service I get!

Hertz did not supply the ordered car but different model ,the guy at the counter was very rude .
