“Milan to Florence”
About Europcar: 2.0 /10
We told them we had paid in full, but the contract still showed three charges: a basic package fee, a snow chain fee, and some departure fee (all in Italian, no English provided), totaling $147. We refused to sign and communicated that all fees were paid in China, and the weather was good, so snow chains weren't needed. They tried to intimidate us by saying the police would check. To give them face, we conceded to the snow chain fee, but they still listed the other two fees, promising a refund after the car was returned. Despite calling for help from ZUZUCHE, which confirmed the same outcome, the whole process took nearly two hours. The car has now been returned, and we don’t know if we can get the other two fees, over $100, refunded. The drop-off location was unmanned except for the car receiver, who told us to contact the store.

“Italy is a friendly, orderly yet whimsical country. People give way to pedestrians, and while there”
About Europcar: 8.0 /10
Speed and efficiency are always the strengths of these international rental car companies, especially with drop-offs taking just one minute to complete. However, I bought a super insurance from QEEQ, which the rental car company was unaware of. They strongly recommended I purchase their damage waiver insurance, and in the end, I bought an additional insurance for 16 euros per day.

“Sicily Island Tour”
About Europcar: 2.0 /10
I'm not one to give negative reviews easily. Even on platforms like Taobao, I've never given a bad review before. My experience with Europcar this time was very poor. However, due to needing to hurry, I had to endure it and left without arguing, driving a car that greatly disappointed me for 5 days. Everything went by the book during the rental process. The rental agent asked if I wanted to buy any additional insurance, but since I thought I already had full coverage, I declined. The critical moment was when I received a Renault key, which immediately disheartened me. I told him, 'I clearly reserved an Audi A3, why am I getting a Renault?' The agent replied, 'This is a car of the same size and category.' I recalled seeing this phrase during the booking but never expected it to be so far-fetched. If size is the only criterion, why not give me a Wuling Hongguang, it's even bigger? The car I received was a Renault Kadjar. Although it's different from the co-branded models in my country, how can a Renault and an Audi be in the same category? Am I not well-read? Plus, the car was dirty, especially at the front, splattered with mud, and scratched all over. The Kadjar is quite large, making it unsuitable for the roads in Sicily where we were traveling, especially since there were only two of us. I've been to Sicily before, so I knew that a big vehicle is not ideal for driving there. The Kadjar is about the size of an Audi Q5. I had considered all this when making my reservation, but one phrase 'same category' ruined my mood. The car was dirty and heavily scratched, leaving me very annoyed and highly dissatisfied.
