It's better not to pick up the car at JFK Airport in the future. There were less than 10 people ahead, but I waited for an hour and a half. The efficiency is very low. However, Avis resolved the issues promptly. At one point, the tire was flat, and they quickly solved it at another location.
The car rental system was down when I landed, and I had to wait for 4 hours.
